Where FDJ Tennis Academy trains, what it means to play at a resort facing the Caribbean, and how to get on court.
FDJ Tennis Academy operates on the courts at the Hilton Ponce Golf & Casino Resort, on Puerto Rico's south coast. It has been the academy's home since 2018.
Playing facing the Caribbean
The resort courts look out over the Caribbean Sea, with the golf course alongside. This is not a public court or a neighborhood club: the setting is a resort facility, and that changes the experience both for serious training and for a visiting player.
Who runs it
Tennis Pro Francisco "Paco" De Jesús directs the academy, with over three decades developing athletes and teams in Puerto Rico, including work at collegiate and national level. He teaches private lessons there, runs the group programs and directs the academy's semesters.

When to come
In the south of the island the sun is punishing between ten in the morning and three in the afternoon all year, not just in summer. The best hours are early morning and from four in the afternoon on. See where to play tennis in Ponce.
